Introduction
Christmas is around the corner so everyone wants to sell their goods in November. The industry came up with a bunch of stuff like Single’s Day and Black Friday and many camera and lens manufacturers are also using this opportunity. In this article I will collect the deals I think are actually worthwhile.
Thypoch was the first to start their campaign this year, as soon as others follow this article will be updated.
Thypoch
The campaign runs from October 20th until December 3rd.
Pretty much all the Thypoch lenses are discounted in their official Thypoch Webshop (affiliate link). Sadly during this promotion period you cannot use our discount code.
I reviewed all of these lenses and there is no stinker among them. The 28mm 1.4, the 50mm 1.4 and the 75mm 1.4 are my favorites and they also made it my list of the Best Fullframe Lenses from China. Unlike last year they saw significant discounts this time and they are highly recommended. The 28mm and the 75mm 1.4 are both lenses I personally bought and use.
The Ksana 35mm 2.0 only saw an 8% discount, but it is a very well balanced yet surprisingly compact 35mm 2.0 lens.

Cool, the Simera 28/1,4 thread on FM is certainly active.
Duty and VAT (not to mention additional shipping time) make ordering lenses from outside of the EU less enticing.
I’m in the same boat.
Any experience from people in the EU, who have ordered from Thypoch directly, would be welcome.
Alternatively, if you know any trusted resellers who ship internationally.
Looking forward to the review of the Samyang 100mm. Have been eyeing it for a while because a small lens in the 90-100mm range would fit well in my kit, and I don’t mind it’s a bit slower (the Sigma 90mm would also fit). Hopefully still in time to pick it up at a discount ;).
I was expecting Samyang to have released a photo centric rehoused version in the tiny series by now, since the other V-AF lenses are basically rehoused tiny series lenses, but I guess they think the market for slower tele primes for photography is too small. Alas.
The 20mm T1.9 V-AF also seems to be a unique design, but it doesn’t feature a normal filter thread which keeps me from buying it.
Thank you, yes, also a potentially interesting lens for the Tiny lens lineup. I might actually exchange my Samyang 18mm 2.8 for it.
